I used a website with an archive of architectural images that include the time period, architectural style, and features common to that style. This website was really useful for taking a brief look at many pieces of architecture throughout time. I think late middle and high school students would easily be able navigate this site. The works are listed geographically and alphabetically.

The other website I used had brief summaries of important time periods and events throughout Western Civilization history. It is listed by chapters and organized chronologically. It is not very specific but is a good starting place for students. It gives them some of the important events that they can research further.
